this book has plenty of insight to offer and that's not even the best thing about it。 the best thing is that there's so many methods given in this book, methods you can use to improve your life while still living your life。it also teaches you how to balance relationships/family, work and time for your own self。 i did really like this book。 although to be completely honest, the first few chapters were *a little* necessary as well as quite boring。 this book might be a little too much for some, esp this book has plenty of insight to offer and that's not even the best thing about it。 the best thing is that there's so many methods given in this book, methods you can use to improve your life while still living your life。it also teaches you how to balance relationships/family, work and time for your own self。 i did really like this book。 although to be completely honest, the first few chapters were *a little* necessary as well as quite boring。 this book might be a little too much for some, especially if getting up early (not necessarily is 4-6 am) or having *kind of* a monk like lifestyle is not your thing。but it's definitely worth a read。 if you didn't like it, at least you'll know what you don't want (or what doesn't work for you)。 。。。more

DNF at page 48Someone gifted me this, so I feel really bad for not finishing it, but I couldn't take any more of it。 It's a fable told in the most condescending, child-like way possible。 It's a self-help book that takes ages to get going and doesn't seem to offer much in depth advice, but instead takes basics of Indian philosophy and chucks it at you in the form of a ridiculous fable。 It's not very well written。 It's not very engaging。 It's completely dull。 Sorry, but this is just not for me, an DNF at page 48Someone gifted me this, so I feel really bad for not finishing it, but I couldn't take any more of it。 It's a fable told in the most condescending, child-like way possible。 It's a self-help book that takes ages to get going and doesn't seem to offer much in depth advice, but instead takes basics of Indian philosophy and chucks it at you in the form of a ridiculous fable。 It's not very well written。 It's not very engaging。 It's completely dull。 Sorry, but this is just not for me, and even if I did finish it, I doubt I would have gotten anything more from it。 。。。more

The messages in itself are fine, but he’s an awful writer。 It’s extremely dull to real and almost comical。

This is a great book for those at the beginning of their self development journey。 If you're already well read on mindset and personal development then this book serves as the perfect reminder to lots of topics you're likely to already have explored。 It's an easy read with a conversational tone。 The structure of the learnings in the book make them easy to refer back to to prompt your memory on the key takeaways intended to be made。 Your mind has the power to determine your future。 Think positive This is a great book for those at the beginning of their self development journey。 If you're already well read on mindset and personal development then this book serves as the perfect reminder to lots of topics you're likely to already have explored。 It's an easy read with a conversational tone。 The structure of the learnings in the book make them easy to refer back to to prompt your memory on the key takeaways intended to be made。 Your mind has the power to determine your future。 Think positively and see every experience as an opportunity to learn - these were my favourite takeaways from the book。 。。。more

I enjoy Robin Sharma and his content in general, so I may be biased but I loved this book!It was borrowed from a friend of mine (that accidentally came with me from my move across Australia, sorry!) but my husband has read and enjoyed it too!It was simple and easy to follow and yet the spiritual meaning rang true and the bringing together of the Eastern and Western paradigms in synergy, rings true with my dharma and life's work。。。so I love this a lot。 I enjoy Robin Sharma and his content in general, so I may be biased but I loved this book!It was borrowed from a friend of mine (that accidentally came with me from my move across Australia, sorry!) but my husband has read and enjoyed it too!It was simple and easy to follow and yet the spiritual meaning rang true and the bringing together of the Eastern and Western paradigms in synergy, rings true with my dharma and life's work。。。so I love this a lot。 。。。more

I picked up this book because of the funny title and also because of recommendation by my UK friend。My favorite quote of this book is ‘The only limits on your life are those that you set yourself”。Another sentence I think is quite thoughtful is ‘Books simply help you to see what is already within yourself。 That’s what enlightenment is all about’。 As an avid reader of self-help books, I don’t learn any unique viewpoints from this book。 However, if you are a new starter in in this field and you w I picked up this book because of the funny title and also because of recommendation by my UK friend。My favorite quote of this book is ‘The only limits on your life are those that you set yourself”。Another sentence I think is quite thoughtful is ‘Books simply help you to see what is already within yourself。 That’s what enlightenment is all about’。 As an avid reader of self-help books, I don’t learn any unique viewpoints from this book。 However, if you are a new starter in in this field and you would like to learn the orthodox ideas of personal development。 This may be a right book for you。 This content of this book is not that serious and easy to read like story-telling。 。。。more

I understand how people have come to despise this book for it's simplicity but thats exactly the reason I enjoyed it。 I loved the feeling I had。 To put through a message clear it needs to some extent be a but corny。 The tips and practices are great!
